Patricia J. Steele (nee Peters) Passed away on June 7, 2022 at Lightways Hospice, Joliet at the age of 90 years. Patricia leaves behind her husband of 67 years, Gordon; daughters, Christine More of Minooka and Kathleen Lake of Clover, SC;; grandchildren, Lisa Hayducak of Des Moines, IA, Brandon (Grace) More of Buchanan, MI, Emily (fiance Ryan) More of Channahon, Crystal (Bill) Jordan of Rock Hill, SC and Shannon (Scott) Lake-Sigmon of Clover, SC; and great grandchildren Carly, Abigail and Jeremiah Jennings and Lucy and Lillian More. She is preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Hallie Peters, daughter and son in law, Theresa dan John Sluis, sister and brother in law, Betty and Gerald Abel and brother, Vernelle Peters. Patricia was born on February 27, 1932 in Clinton, IL. After graduating High School she took a job at Caterpillar in Joliet. It was there that she met her future husband, Gordon. They were married on January 15, 1955. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were the loves of her life. She supported them in whatever activities they were involved in and was their biggest cheerleader and fan. She was also a long standing member of the Channahon United Methodist Church and was deeply proud of being a part of and organizing the famous and fabulous Turkey Suppers for many years. Steele will be held on Monday, June 13, 2022 from 11:00 AM until Funeral Service begins at 12:00 PM at The Maple Funeral Home located at 24300 W. Ford Rd, Channahon. Interment Willard Grove Cemetery.
