September 11, 1925 - February 28, 2014

Marie May Burrow (nee Corter) Passed away peacefully on Friday, February 28, 2014 at Fairview Care Center, Joliet, IL. Born on September 11, 1925 in Mammoth Springs, ARK to the late Oscar Allen and Ruby Mae (nee Frisbee) Corter. On October 28, 1939 Marie May was wed to Noble Burrow, to this union she was the loving mother of four children; Emma Marie (Gordon) Smith of Channahon, IL, Clara May (Marvin) Johnson of Overland Park, KS, Noble Dix (Patricia) Burrow of South Beloit, IL and Wanda Sue (Barry) Watkins of Stillman Valley, IL. Following the passing of her husband Noble Burrow, Marie May was wed to Freeman Jerral Burrow on May 23, 1978, her family increased and she became step mother to the late Gerald (Peggy) Burrow. She is the proud grandmother of Douglas (Kristina) Smith, Bradley (Robin) Smith, Donald (Sharon) Smith, Tina Wills, James Johnson, Kimberly (Richard) Lynn, Louise (Paul) Block, Theresa Hess, Edward Burrow, Noble Burrow, Brent Watkins and Gregory Watkins, great grandmother of 19 and great great grandmother of 3. Fond sister of Betty I. "Rachel" (Marvin) Congdon and John Hershel (Dawn) Parker of Fennville, MI. dear sister in law of Vesta Meryl Peebles of Thayer, MO, Dempsey Burrow of Lonoke, ARK and Virginia Parker, Mammoth Spring, ARK. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also mourn her passing. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Noble Burrow, husband Freeman Jerral Burrow, brother Virgil H. (Virginia) Parker, half brother Clarence A. Corter and step son Gerald Burrow. Marie May dearly loved her faith and church family. She enjoyed gardening, especially flower gardens. She was a member of the Quilters Club at 1st Assembly of God Church, Thayer MO she will be dearly missed by those she knew and loved. Memorial Donations may be directed to 1st Assembly of God Church Thayer, MO or to the favorite charity of the donor. Visitation for Marie May Burrow will be held on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at The Maple Funeral Home located at 24300 W. Ford Rd., Channahon.
