Lona E. Huvila (nee Holman) At Rest, Friday, November 6, 2015 surrounded by her family at Walnut Grove Village, Morris, IL at the age of 76 years. Born in Joliet IL the daughter of the late Willis and Lona (nee Rokser) Holman. Lona is survived by her six children, Rachel (the late William) Condron, Maureen Pinnell, Donna Huvila, Earl (Karen) Huvila, Stormy (Thomas) Reiter and Carol and (Darren) Cissell; Ten Grandchildren and Six Great Grandchildren; Fond Sister of Mary (Gerald) Maki, Susan (James) George and Joseph (Sue) Rokser, also left to mourn her passing are many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Preceded in death by her parents; her Grandmother Koscielny, her beloved brother, Bill Holman; grandson Casey Reiter and son in law, William Condron. She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother, a wonderful sister and a loyal friend. Lona enjoyed traveling, gardening and crafts. She loved Joe’s Pasty Shop and going to Little Girl’s Point. She cherished time spent with her church family and was a member of the Channahon United Methodist Church since 1975. A special thank you to the Staff at Regency Care Center and the Joliet Area Community Hospice Staff for their kind and compassionate care these past days. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Lona’s memory to Joliet Area Community Hospice. Funeral Service will begin at 1:15 PM on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at The Maple Funeral Home located at 24300 W. Ford Rd, Channahon. Pastor Steven Good officiating.
