Cynthia Louise Thompson (nee McClurg) Age 66. Passed away with grace surrounded by her son and two daughters on January 28, 2022 at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. She is survived by her children, Erin Vivanco (John), Jennie (Jimmy) Gura and Michael (Renee) Thompson; our father Douglas Thompson, Stepmother, Carrie and her beloved Douglas Rudisuhle; her grandchildren, Carlos Jr. (Rachel), Diego, Joey, Jordyn, Jayla, Matthew (Linda), Bailey, Dylan (Brooke), Brandon, Emma, Lucas and her mother, Carolyn McClurg. Preceded in death by her father, Cleo McClurg and her grandparents, Nadine and Lloyd Jones. Cindy was born in Maryville, Missouri, graduated Valedictorian from Minooka Community High School, earned her Secretarial degree with the highest of honors, in the 90s owned and operated the Minooka Creamery, and spent many years in banking prior to retirement. She was a lifelong Minooka resident, a faithful member of Mission Bible Church, served a variety of Ministries, Missions, the Oswego Chamber of Commerce and remained active in several community organizations. Cindy was a beautiful woman of Christian faith; forever selfless and loving. She spent a lifetime loving God, her children, grandchildren, family and friends, including her Mission Bible Church family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to assisted living activities at Able Hearts-River Crossing of Joliet (3401 Hennepin Drive, Joliet, IL 60431) were Cindy's mother Carolyn McClurg currently resides. Visitation for Cynthia L. Thompson will begin at 9:00 AM on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Mission Bible Church located at 412 N. Wabena Ave, Minooka, IL. Prayer Service will begin at 11:00 AM. Per Cynthia's Wishes Cremation Rites will be accorded following service. Arrangements under the direction of The Maple Funeral Home, Channahon.
