Marie June Lyons (nee Frederick) Age 96 years, Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at her late Channahon Residence on Wednesday, December 23, 2020. Marie is survived by her Son, Charles (fiancé’ Kathy Huels) Lyons; Daughter In Law, Margaret Lyons; Sister In Law, Mary Frederick; Sister, Lillian Bergelin; Grand Children, Kristin (Steve) Hall, Megan (Adam) Bernas, Steven (the late Robin) Lyons, Susan (Gary) Dhaese and Jennifer Lyons; Great Grand Children, Madyson Hall, Blake Hall, Ashlynn Bernas, Patrick Bernas, Yvonne Dhaese and Isabel Sanchez-Lyons as well as her Two Special Cousins, Janet and Betty Frederick. Preceded in death by her Husband, LaVerne “Lefty” Lyons, Son, David Lyons; Daughter In Law, Lori Lyons; Parents, Ben and Elizabeth Frederick; Brother, Raymond Frederick and Brother In Law, Chester Bergelin. Marie retired from the Channahon Post Office and was a life long resident of Channahon. She will be fondly remembered as being a generous and loving part of the Ladies Aide Circle (Thrift Store) at the Channahon United Methodist Church where she Was a faithful member for many years. Marie dearly loved her faith, her family and her friends. She will be remembered as a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother, wonderful sister, cousin, loyal friend and neighbor. God has you in his keeping, we have you in our hearts. It is at the request of the Lyons’s Family that Friends and Community Members be given the opportunity to have a face to face final farewell while maintaining a safe no contact environment. In order to adhere to restrictions and rules brought on by the Corona Virus Pandemic A Drive Thru Viewing for Marie June Lyons will be held on Sunday, December 27, 2020 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at The Maple Funeral Home located at 24300 W Ford Rd, Channahon. Interment at Willard Grove Cemetery, Channahon and Funeral Service will be held privately.
